ARE YOU A CONGRUENT ORGANIZATION?

"We make decisions but nothing seems to happen."

I've heard that sentence or others like it for years. Leadership works hard to make the right decisions for the organization but something happens between the decision and the doing. And the decision goes nowhere. Or worse, comes back to be made all over again.

That's just one symptom of incongruence.

The following are some more of the frustrating symptoms of incongruence. Make a mental checkmark besides the ones you are experiencing and then give me a call.

▢ Little or low accountability throughout the organization
▢ People don't do what they say they will do. Or don't do it without multiple reminders.

▢ Avoidance of hard decisions and/or hard conversations
▢ Negative energy around certain individuals, teams or disciplines
▢ Allowing clients to create chaos
▢ What's sold is not what's delivered
▢ Lack of role clarity

▢ Systems and processes don’t support expectations or continued growth
▢ Onboarding individuals or clients who do not align with your culture
▢ Lower or inconsistent quality of work product
▢ Norms don’t exist or aren’t enforced
▢ Regrettable losses
▢ Loss of trust in leadership
▢ High performing people leaving (regrettable losses)
▢ Inconsistency of experiences throughout the organization
▢ Promotion of people who are not good representations of the organization
▢ Compensation is a pain point

▢ Managers avoid giving critical feedback
▢ Growth at the expense of well-being (or visa-versa)
▢ Reputation damage (Glassdoor, anyone?)
▢ Difficulties in recruitment and/or retention
▢ Benefits don’t completely align with values and culture
▢ Poor performance is tolerated or addressed inconsistently
I know. It's a long list. Congruency starts at the top and impacts the entire organization. The root cause of all of these issues isn't a mystery. It's the common enemy of incongruence.
